So I have been sleeping in my parent's room since young and there were always thousands of reasons for me to not sleep in my own room, be it electricity bills or my sleeping hours. I do have my own room but things are piling up in there and it turned into a storage room soon after we moved in. I have always wanted to refurbish the room and move into it but all my previous tries were unsuccessful. But as I am turning 21, things are also slowly progressing towards my "dream room"!
Selfie to commemorate, YAY!
Next stop, Ikea. As an efficient person (no doubt), I have already did my research and made a list of furniture and fittings that are needed to fill up my room in advance. Shopping list is the key to shop efficiently and to avoid impulse purchase which could help save our money! But to be honest, my list consists of some unnecessary items that serve the purpose to beautify my room which my father just could not understand why I am buying them. Thanks to my dad's nagging, I ended up buying only a few as I feel like he would continue to nag if I add more into the cart. So now let's check out!
Obviously, the next thing we need to do is to assemble the furniture and put them into place. Since we are not rushed, it took us two nights to finish assembling and installing them at our own sweet pace. Then I cleaned the room and started filling up the room with my "assets".
I have even DIY-ed some room decorations and they are all made out of Ikea's cardboard! Tip, if you bought anything that comes wrapped in cardboard, don't throw them out, they are very useful, like seriously.
Lastly, I added some finishing touch to my room.
These sum up my day at Ikea.

My initial, obviously.
I have always wanted jewellery organizers but they can be exorbitant if bought from store. So I made one myself and out of my expectation, it turned out super legit! I made a totally smart move and I am so happy with it.
Cosmetic tray, although I do not own much products, they are more for display purpose to be honest.
A DIY minimal calendar which I am totally in love with!
Some books and photo frames for decoration.
Last but not least, a penguin pillow which is super cute and super comfortable!
My room is now good to go! I am so happy with the result!
